Paris-Nice update (as if you care) (See what I'm talking about)
OK, so, it's what, the fourth stage now, and again, they've shortened the course due to the weather. It's so cold and blustery today (a reported 10 degrees C w/ up to 80km/h winds), that Lance Armstrong has dropped. OK, well, he REALLY dropped because he was still jetlagged at the beginning of the race and was developing a sore throat that he didn't want to grow into any kind of full-blown sickness, so he's likely retiring to his villa in Spain for some warmer-weather training.

Anyway, I wouldn't have bothered with blogging about a bike race that few, oh so few people care about, until I saw this in my play-by-play from cyclingnews.com: "As expected, it was flat out from the start, with the peloton screaming along at 60 km/h with the tailwind."

60km/h is just about 37mph. Can you imagine going that fast on a flat straightaway? I don't care HOW STRONG the winds are, that's just sick...
