751: shuffle, coffee, work

So, Dana and I were at the bookstore the other day (I was working, she was reading) and we picked up some of the coffee whose label you see on the right. The funny thing is, I first saw it there a couple months ago and it took me a minute to remember where I saw it - at a coffee shop in Homer, Alaska, about five years ago (six? seven? my memory is going with age). Jeez, it could have been closer to nine years ago. I'm getting old. Anyway, the coffee is really good. If you ever see it, it works as advertised. Two cups and I don't even WANT any more.Also, this is post 751 to our blog. Dana was given the opportunity to make our three-quarters-of-a-thousandth post. Hurray for her.
Also also, Blogger keeps bugging me to update to the new version, so if the blog gets effed up in the near future, it's because I've finally relented.
And one more thing: D and I have been aggressively paying down our credit card debt ever since she started getting paid a real salary, so we're actively trying to get rid of cards we no longer use or need. In doing so, she realized that with one card she had "Rewards points" that afforded us the opportunity to cash in for a free iPod Shuffle, which we received yesterday. Yes, we both have iPods already, but they're both HDD-based and really suck for working out (not to mention the battery lives are not what they used to be). We recently re-discovered how nice it is to ride (aka: snowboard) with music, and there couldn't be a better solution than the shuffle. So, we used the extra points she had left over to get an Amazon gift certificate, which I used to help buy a shuffle for myself. Now we can hit the slopes in style. Together! With our own music!
Also: I'm still really busy with work. In the next two weeks I should find out if I'm going to be REALLY REALLY REALLY busy or just remain really busy. Hopefully the latter.

Yeah, new shuffles. Hopefully mine will get here by the time you all do. I can use D's mini and others can use the shuffles, maybe. Fas has his nano (with integrated helmet speakers, NICE).

Yes..helmet speaker integration is nice. maybe we can all sync our songs up together and ride the slopes singing and holding hands...oh it would be so very grand

Can't happen. Not really, anyway. All your music would be lost as soon as you synched with my iTunes.
You could get it back from home (I expect), but couldn't sync it and my music together.

well, given that I don't have and "i" device - no way to export MP3s? Is most of your music purchased from iTunes?
I suppose you could burn a CD then rip it... lol talk about the LONG way
