I had a couple friends in residency at Rush who pulled cockroaches (some alive, some dead) out of kids' ears.

I read somewhere that parents were doing this as a method of controlling unruly children after watching Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn. Or I could be making that up completely.

That's nothing! I pulled a cockroach out of an 8 year old girl's ear. You gotta love the maywood area! It was alive.
