...I missed this gem:
9:42 p.m. A wildfire was reported in the 42000 block of McGuire Lane in Hayden. West Routt fire officials said a man was burning a dead horse, which is not illegal, and that the fire was under control.Show me that in *your* police blotter, and I'll stop posting this stuff. God, rural America is awesome.

Wow now that's an example of "rural malaise". Get a backhoe and bury that dead horse. Wasting perfectly good Diesel like that is a shame!
