Summertime
Here's a pic of my little baby girl playing in her froggy pool last month. We need to get her out in that a bit more--it's already starting to get pretty cold here at night, and the summer is definitely winding down.

Took Big C in for her 9 month check up today. She weighed 18 pounds, 4 ounces (41st percentile), was a little over 28 inches long (80th percentile) and I forget what her head was, but it was in the 80th percentile as well. She's pointing, clapping, waving, picking up food with a pincer grasp, crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling herself to stand, and just starting to cruise on furniture. Saying mama and dada, and sometimes I think she gets dada right. Sleeps 12 hours at night, takes a good 1-2 hour nap in the morning and usually a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. She loves Good Night Moon (especially pointing at the red balloon), her sock monkey Louis, and her First Laptop. Apparently we've been a bit too liberal with the carrots and sweet potatoes as my partner mentioned how she has a very slight orangy glow. Mark just told her we've been using spray tan. She's doing great with her sippy cups, and we're just starting to do more table food--she was all about an avocado last weekend, will take bits of bread from us, and is starting to eat puff and crackers and such. She's also in this big screeching phase, and we're trying to get her to babble instead, which sometimes works, and sometimes she'll just screech at the top of her lungs anyway. She gets very bored with her exersaucer very quickly these days, so it's tough to get a quick shower in since she'll just start screaming until you take her out of there. She loves being at daycare and around the other kids, which is fun to see.

I think that's about it for the Caroline update. The two of us leave next Thursday for Chicago, staying until the 7th. Mark isn't coming until about a week later because of work, so hopefully the flight will go smoothly with just the two of us. It's always nice having another set of hands around when traveling with a baby, so we'll see how this goes.

OK, today is my only day off until next Thursday when my vacation starts, so now that Big C is down for her nap, I believe it's time for mine!

So cute! Mia also loves Goodnight Moon, we read it every night.

I am jealous of your cooler weather, it's hot here in Ohio, and I am ready for fall.
