In honor of Ike's barreling down on Houston being all over the news, I did a search of this very blog for our updates from when we lived in Houston and Rita was widely believed to represent impending doom.
Other than the first post at this link (they appear chronologically backwards, latest first), many, many are from our experience of Rita. Scroll about halfway down and start reading upwards to relive that exciting part of our lives, pre-C.
It seems that back then I was much more witty. Marriage will do that to a guy - suck the wit right out of him.
Just kidding, hon. You only gave me gray hair.

We experienced Ike yesterday. No rain, but damaging winds. I have serious windburn from sitting in the third tier of Paul Brown Stadium yesterday to watch the Bengals play like crap. Good thing I am a Browns fan.
I remember how worried I was for you and Dana during Rita.
